Democratic Day at the Races

The Democratic Party of Arkansas’s first Executive Committee meeting of 2010 is right around the corner.  The DPA Executive Committee meeting will be held Saturday, March 27 at 9:45 a.m. at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs in conjunction with Democratic Day at the Races.  With less than 90 days to go before the May Preferential Primary, the time is now to get active and involved to ensure our success electing Democrats to office in November.  This event will provide an excellent opportunity to meet with fellow voters, candidates, and Democratic elected officials from across Arkansas.

FILING PERIOD IS UNDERWAY

On March 1, I had the pleasure of participating in the opening of the filing period at the State Capitol. Secretary of State Charlie Daniels’ office got the proceedings started in style and then, at high noon, the candidates began filing the necessary documents with the Democratic Party of Arkansas and state officials..
