CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

DEMOCRATIC TRAVELERS HIT THE TRAIL

By Arkansas Democratic Party - Added 28 July 2010

Campaign season in Arkansas is ramping up. We’ve got Democrats traveling all over our state, to every corner and every county.  Looking forward, Arkansas Democrats are busy and energized; there’s no doubt about it.

This past week, several events were attended by our Democratic leaders, nominees, and supporters, including: the Benton County’s Democratic Club’s 16th Annual Dr. Don White Yellow Dog Golf Tournament, Senior Democrats of Northwest Arkansas meeting, Hot Springs Village Democratic Club’s July Hot Dog Blast, and Ding Dong Days in Dumas.

Several events coming up in the next few weeks that should be on your Democratic radar include: the Young Democrats of Arkansas Minority Caucus Kickoff event on July 29, Clark County’s Fifteenth Annual Clinton Day Dinner on August 14, Sebastian County’s “Evening with the Senators” on August 17, and the Independence County Campaign Headquarters Grand Opening on August 19. These are just a few of the many events and gatherings going on in the near future. Please call our office to let us know if you’re having an event in your community, or go to the DPA web site and update the calendar.

Speaking of the DPA web site, if you haven’t visited it lately, there are several new items I’d like to bring to your attention.  Most of our elected officials' and candidates’ speeches from the recent State Convention are online for you to view. We’ve also uploaded an assortment of pictures from both the convention and J-J Dinner, so be sure to check out the DPA homepage.

I truly want to encourage each and every one of you to get out and go to the events being held around our state. It’s good for morale, and good for the opposition to know that we are ready and willing to fight for this election in November. Please join me in making that possible.

Sincerely,

Todd Turner
