By Arkansas Democratic Party - Added 28 July 2010

This past week, several Democratic events took place, including the Benton County Democratic Club’s 16th Annual Dr. Don White “Yellow Dog” Golf Tournament.  David Whitaker, State Senator Shane Broadway, and L.J. Bryant addressed the golfers and supporters in Rogers.

The Hot Springs Village Democratic Club hosted their annual July Hot Dog Blast event last week, with a crowd of nearly 200 attendees on hand to ask questions from the following elected officials and nominees: U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln, State Senator Joyce Elliott, Representatives Dawn Creekmore and Johnny Hoyt, Pat O’Brien, and Debbie Murphy.  Hot Springs Village Democratic Club’s President Suze Babbie stated that she was very pleased with the turnout, saying: “I believe we all benefitted greatly from the articulate and informative responses provided by the exceptional Democrats we Arkansans are privileged to vote for during this mid-term election.”

The Senior Democrats of Northwest Arkansas held their monthly meeting at the Springdale Western Sizzlin’ with several special guests, including State Land Commissioner nominee L.J. Bryant. When asked about his time spent with the Northwest Arkansas Senior Democrats, L.J. remarked, “I truly enjoyed visiting with one of the most vibrant and wise partitions of the Democratic Party.”

The 31st Annual Ding Dong Days in Dumas entertained hundreds of Arkansans this past weekend, by celebrating the town’s infamous connection to the bygone era of Vaudeville. Speaker of the House-Elect and Dumas native Representative Robert Moore was especially highlighted during this event by the local chamber of commerce, which hosted a barbeque dinner in his honor Thursday night. Many of our Democratic campaigns were represented at the Ding Dong Days event, including U.S. Senator Lincoln’s and Governor Beebe’s.
