Our next Everyday Arkansan is Andrea Adams from Sherwood, Arkansas. Here’s what she had to say about moving from Detroit to Arkansas:

“I moved here from Detroit and have lived in Arkansas for 33 years.
My mother’s name is Ruth Adams. She passed away 8 years ago because of Alzheimer’s. She was a great mother of 9 children, me being number 7. My mother was a single parent, and she worked 2 jobs to support our family. I, myself, do not have children of my own, but I am an aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.
I feel high school students and young adults should start being introduced to politics and how it will affect them in their daily lives. I believe all Arkansans should have the same opportunities regardless of race, class, creed, or orientation. I believe in doing outreach year-round. Don’t wait until there is an election.
I have been employed at an insurance company and a hospital for more than years. Both jobs are great places to work.”
