Biden & Hutchinson Direct Support To Nursing Homes: Cotton & Boozman Oppose COVID Assistance

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas’s American Rescue Plan steering committee is directing $250 million to assist hospitals and nursing homes that are struggling to handle the rapidly shifting COVID situation, especially in rural areas. This critical funding support is being hailed by Governor Asa Hutchinson. The funds are made possible through provisions of President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan.

“Governor Hutchinson is working with the Biden administration to help our loved ones in nursing homes. This is how government is supposed to work,” said DPA Chairman Michael John Gray. “This desperately needed relief is no thanks to Arkansas’s U.S. Senators, Tom Cotton and John Boozman, who voted against the American Rescue Plan. We need to ask, ‘why are Cotton and Boozman against helping Arkansas nursing homes get through COVID?’”

“Arkansas deserves U.S. Senators who put Washington politics aside and put the people of Arkansas first.”
