LITTLE ROCK – The Democratic Party of Arkansas held its Second Quarter State Committee meeting on Saturday. The membership heard welcomes from State Representatives Nicole Clowney and Denise Garner and a prayer from Dr. Chris Jones, Democratic nominee for Governor. The meeting, originally planned as an in-person gathering in Fayetteville, was rescheduled to be held virtually.
The main business of the meeting was to announce Saturday, August 13, 2022 as the date for the 2022 Arkansas Democratic State Convention. The convention will be held in Central Arkansas. A media advisory with more details will be sent in the coming weeks.
