DPA Names Karyn Coleman as New Chief of Staff

Some congrats are in order at the Democratic Party!

 

Michael John Gray, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Arkansas, is proud to announce that Director of Operations Karyn Coleman will be shifting into the Chief of Staff position.

Karyn is a native of Des Arc, AR located in the Arkansas Delta. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Organization Management from Philander Smith College and has over ten years of experience in management, budgeting, and operations. Karyn is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Little Rock Alumnae Chapter, where she serves as an undergraduate chapter advisor on the campus of Philander Smith College.

She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXXIII, a member of the Board of Directors for Better Community Development, Inc. and she serves on the City of Little Rock’s Community Housing Advisory Board. She and her husband Kenyen have one son, Kendill.

“I am honored by this opportunity to continue serving my community and the Democratic Party of Arkansas. Chairman Gray’s leadership is making an impact across this state, and I look forward to being a part of it in the years to come,” said Karyn.
Former DPA Chief of Staff Taylor Riddle left the Democrat Party in mid-December for a role in the private sector.
“The decision to leave wasn’t made easily,” said Taylor. “I have long felt home in this Party and this office, and I know that feeling will stay with me in my next role. I want to thank Chairman Gray and everyone that has allowed me to succeed.”
