French Hill is surrendering our American values to President Trump. He won’t even hold the President accountable for letting Russia and Vladimir Putin give the Taliban bounties for killing American soldiers in Afghanistan. It’s a failure to lead, and Arkansas is demanding better.
The news is shocking, “President Trump received a written briefing and a briefing from then-National Security Advisor John Bolton in early 2019, and another written briefing this February, about intelligence that suggests Russia offered bounties to Taliban fighters for killing U.S. soldiers, according to reports from the New York Times and the Associated Press.”
It’s just the latest in a series of disappointments from central Arkansas’s U.S. Congressmen French Hill, who has enabled President Trump’s grossest abuses of power. Arkansas deserves a strong leader in Congress, who is willing to stand up and put the lives of Americans first. But French is too busy providing cover for Vladimir Putin’s friend in the White House.
The lesson for voters this November is clear.
French is waving the white flag and letting our country pay the price.
Arkansas can do better in 2020. The times demand it.
