The Democratic Party of Arkansas is opening up its internship program to students with a wide range of interests (not only political science students) and skill sets. We are looking for students who are interested in: politics, graphic design, video production, data, communications, non-profit and organizational management, public policy, working during a Legislative session, and community engagement –– to name a few areas!

The DPA office is located in Little Rock but our organization is statewide. And the internship during this upcoming 2023 legislative session may be largely remote.
We are seeking out talented and driven students to further their education (course credit option) while they engage in their passions.
Students will have the opportunity to work directly with Party leaders and staff, elected officials, electoral candidates, and experts in their fields. Students will be overseen and guided by designated DPA and legislative caucus staff.
Expectations:
- Interns will be expected to work at least 8-15 hours per week at times of their choosing, Preferably, during hours when legislative meetings occur (Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
When:
- The Legislative session will begin on Monday, January 9th, and typically runs until Mid to late April, with the possibility of extending into May. The legislature meets every week, Monday through Thursday.
Where:
Aids have the option to work in several different environments:
- In person at the Democratic Party of Arkansas Headquarters and the State Capitol.
- Virtually from a remote location.
