French Hill has been dead silent on the Civil Rights movement sweeping our nation. When you take a look at his voting record on Civil Rights laws you start to understand why. The legendary organization, the NAACP, released a Civil Rights Federal Legislative Report Card and French Hill’s voting record on 32 pieces of legislation earned him an “F”.
It’s hard to believe that the U.S. Congressman representing central Arkansas has an “F” on the definitive Civil Rights Scorecard. The entire delegation from Arkansas has a lot of explaining to do.
It’s pretty stark. But it gives 2020 voters a pretty clear indication of how French Hill feels about Civil Rights laws when it comes down to casting the votes that matter.
Hill is running against state Senator Joyce Elliott, who will become the first African-American elected to Congress in Arkansas’s history. Sen. Elliott has long been a champion for the people of Arkansas and has earned her status as a trusted leader.
