“Huntsville is a small, family-oriented agricultural community. Many of us have been here for generations and are continuing to raise our own families here.
Arkansas is special to me because this is where I was born and raised, as were my parents and grandparents before me. I have chosen to stay and raise my own child here because I love the feeling of familiarity as well as being able to contribute to the betterment of the world around us. One of my favorite parts about Arkansas is being able to maintain the comfort of a small hometown while still having the ease of access to nearby urban areas. This state offers beautiful diversity and we must value the preservation of our national forests and rivers to maintain our “Natural State.”
As a primary healthcare provider, I see the needs for healthcare in our elderly, rural, and pediatric populations that seem to be unmet both based on poor access to care and limited use of social programs to assist with proper nutrition or health literacy. As an Arkansas Democrat, I know that access to healthcare and education are two of our primary platforms that I am very passionate about. I highly encourage Arkansans from every corner of the state to reach out to their county party on how to get involved both locally and at our state level to improve areas in which they are passionate about.”
