Given the national crisis of COVID-19, our delegate selection process is disrupted. At this stage in the process, our county parties are conducting elections to determine their representation. Currently, 11 of the 24 contested counties have held elections; however the remaining 13 have not. Staff, along with the Executive & Rules Committees and DNC Party Affairs, have created a virtual process that will allow for the remaining counties to continue on with their elections.
This process is secure and simple, but to be sure that everyone has a complete understanding of the process, staff will host a webinar to go into greater detail of the process. The informational webinar will be on April 20th from 6 – 7 pm. We will allot plenty of time for Q & A after the staff has presented. This webinar will also be recorded and a link to the video will be included on each individual ballot to alleviate any questions. CLICK HERE (or see below) for the link to Monday’s webinar, and please share this information with your county & on your county social media pages, as anyone who is interested in voting is advised to attend the webinar!
We understand that virtual conventions can be a barrier in a rural state like Arkansas, and we want to make our process as accessible as we can to all Democrats. Staff will provide an update on non-digital voting alternatives in the webinar on April 20. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to delegateselection@arkdems. org with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for all that you do for the party; it does not go unappreciated!
