John Whiteside - Political DirectorJohn Whiteside is a veteran political and public affairs operative. His first race out of college was working on Mark Pryor’s successful bid to win a U.S. Senate seat by ousting Republican Tim Hutchinson in 2002. He has worked in virtually every campaign discipline: management, media, field, research and finance. Whiteside has worked on races at the Presidential, US Senate, Congressional and Supreme Court level including General Wesley Clark, Senator Mark Pryor, Senator Mary Landrieu, Congressman Brad Carson, and Attorney General Dustin McDaniel. In 2006, Whiteside served as Director of the Arkansas Democratic Party. Under his leadership, Democrats swept all statewide constitutional offices, and gained three additional seats in the State Legislature.
John served as the campaign manager for both Joyce Elliott’s race for U.S.Congress and her successful re-election to the State Senate. He most recently served as the Policy Director for the Arkansas Public Policy Panel and oversaw the successful ‘Raise the Minimum Wage' effort for the Arkansas Education Association in the 2014 cycle.
